CSA Membership
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The CSA production model engages people to connect with their local food system. When you join a CSA you enter into a partnership with your farmer to deliver fresh produce to your table and in return your farmer has a guaranteed sales outlet and financial support in the early season when farm production expenses are highest.
How does it work?
Every week we will harvest and pack each CSA member a box of fresh seasonal vegetables to be picked up at one of our 3 pickup sites. Box pickup will be every Monday, 3-5pm, for 15 weeks starting June 13th. Each box will contain between 7-8 vegetable varieties and will vary based on what is in season and ready for harvest that week. A typical early season box will tend to contain lots of greens and spring root vegetable such as carrots and radishes. Later season boxes will shift toward summer and fall vegetables such as tomatoes, squash and cabbages.
We offer a single size weekly membership that will run for 15 weeks at a cost of $450 for full payment, or 3 installments of $155.
I have too many vegetables, what do I do?
We understand that for some members, especially those who are new to a CSA, it can be a challenge to finish a box of vegetables every week. To assist our members in using up their weekly vegetables, we will send out a weekly newsletter with recipe ideas, storage tips and other ideas for using their produce. If you still have extra vegetables at the end of the week, we encourage you to share with friends and family!
I forgot/was late to the pickup!
Unfortunately, due to the size of our farm and lack of refrigerated storage space at our pickup location, if you miss the pickup time we cannot guarantee that your box will be available. If you know you will be late to a pickup we encourage you to arrange a friend or family member to pick up the box for you and if that cant be done, reach out to us and we will try our best to accommodate you. Any boxes left unclaimed by the end of the day will be donated to the Woodinville Food Bank.
I will be out of town/unavailable for a pickup week.
If you know you will be out of town or otherwise unavailable for a pickup week in advance, you will be able to skip up to 2 weeks throughout the season. We ask that you provide notice at least 72 hours in advance of your planned skipped pickup.
